Nafplion, also referenced as Nafplio, Nauplio, Nauplia or Nafplia, is the gateway to visiting some of the Peloponnese Peninsula's most interesting ancient sites: Mycenae, Tirins, Epidaurus and Korinth.

Nafplion has a typical Mediterranean climate. Summers are hot and dry, winters mild and very wet.

Best Times to Go to Nafplion

The best time to go to Nafplion is spring and early fall--April, May, and September are the best months. The climate is very similar to that of Athens, across the Korinth canal, without the smog.

Winters are mild and a bit wet. Rains start in October and are frequent until showers taper off in April.
