Portugal Travel Weather - When to Go to Portugal
Portugal offers a combination of Mediteranean and Atlantic climates, with temperatures moderated by both. The best time is probably late spring and early fall, but summer temperatures are fairly moderate, and there's little chance of rainfall in July and August.
Use our Portugal weather map to click on the city you're interested in to get graphs of the high and low historic temperatures, rainfall and the latest weather conditions. Below are the links to three major tourist cities in Portugal with historic climate information and current conditions, in case you can't use the map. Not included on the map is Madeira, the almost perfect climate of Funchal, the capital city, a place you might want to go in winter, because that's the perfect time for seekers of off-season warmth.
